How we handle your information.

What this website collects, what happens to it, and how we handle information if you become a patient.

Who we are

This website is operated by Sleep Coach AeroCare Limited (CAC registration RC 9117941), trading as Sleep AeroCare Nigeria (“Sleep AeroCare”, “we”, “us”). Our registered address is 8 Otukpo Street, Garki, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria. Our Data Protection Officer is Dr. Amara Emenike. For privacy requests and complaints, email admin@sleepaerocare.ng; they are handled by our Data Protection Officer. For general enquiries, email support@sleepaerocare.ng or call +234 816 477 7033.

Consultations are virtual, and home visits are available on request. We do not run routine in-clinic appointments, and our registered address is not a place where patients are seen.

In short

  • The online sleep assessment runs in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us and are not stored.
  • If you send us a form, we receive what you type, by email.
  • If you choose to share assessment results through WhatsApp, you are asked to confirm first, and only the five result levels are included.
  • This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or analytics tools.
  • If you become a patient, we keep a clinical record. The sections below explain this.
  • Organisation enquiries are for business contact only. We do not ask for employee health information through the website.

The sleep assessment

You confirm that you are 18 or older before you start. That confirmation is not stored or sent anywhere. Your answers are processed on your own device, in your browser. They are not sent to our servers and are not saved; when you close or reload the page they are gone.

The assessment is an educational screening tool. It does not diagnose, is not a substitute for medical evaluation, and is not for emergencies.

On the results page you can choose to send your results through WhatsApp. Before anything is opened, we show a confirmation that explains what will be shared. If you continue, WhatsApp opens with a pre-written message containing the five result levels shown on the page, not your individual answers. Opening WhatsApp shares that message with WhatsApp (Meta). We receive it only if you press Send.

Enquiries: forms, email, telephone and WhatsApp

What we receive. Through the contact form: your name, phone number and/or email address, the topic you choose, your message and the time you sent it. The email we receive does not include your IP address. Through the organisations form: your name, organisation, role, work email, phone number, industry, workforce size, the topics you select and your message. We do not request individual employee medical information through that form.

How it reaches us. By email to our support mailbox, through our email service provider. The website does not keep a database of submissions. The founder and designated operations staff can read the mailbox.

Why we use it. To reply to you, to arrange any consultation or service you ask about, and for related follow-up.

Please keep forms non-clinical. Do not put detailed medical information in the website forms, and do not use them for emergencies. If you need urgent care, contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency facility.

Telephone, WhatsApp and email. You can also contact us by telephone, WhatsApp (WhatsApp Business, provided by WhatsApp/Meta under its own terms and privacy practices) and email. These channels are not designed for sensitive clinical detail; where possible, please share detailed medical information during your consultation.

Booking, payment and consultations

Virtual consultations. The booking button opens an online booking page provided by Google, in a new tab. You enter your name, email address, WhatsApp number and, optionally, your age. This is stored in our Google Calendar and used to confirm and manage your appointment; Google sends you a confirmation and reminders and handles that information under its own terms and privacy practices. We do not pass your assessment results to the booking page. Video consultations use a video link provided through the booking.

Home visits. Home visits are available on request, and additional fees apply. If you ask for one, we use the contact details and area you give us to reply, check availability and arrange the visit.

Fees and payment. Booking a time does not collect payment, and this website does not take payments. Our team tells you the applicable charges before you commit to a paid service. Payment is generally made by bank transfer, which we check against the receipt you share with us.

If you become a patient

A clinical relationship begins when we accept a consultation or clinical intake. From then we keep clinical information, according to the services you use:

  • Consultations: your history, symptoms, examination notes, assessments, plans and follow-up, together with your contact and booking details. Consultation notes are currently kept on paper.
  • Home sleep testing: recordings, scored data, a report prepared by a physician and a discussion of your results. Recordings are held on a cloud platform provided by the testing-device supplier. That supplier hosts the platform and can access patient data where this is needed to deliver your study.
  • CPAP, APAP and bilevel therapy: your diagnosis and prescription details, device and mask settings, fitting and follow-up notes. If you agree, we may review usage data from your device to help your treatment.
  • Positional therapy: we record our assessment and recommendation, and your results or symptoms at follow-up.

Access to clinical information is limited to the sleep physician and designated staff.

Referrals

If it is clinically appropriate, we can refer you to an independent provider: a qualified provider for oral appliance therapy, or a hospital-based sleep service for advanced sleep testing. These providers are independent. They carry out their own assessments and handle your information under their own policies. We share only the information needed for the referral, and only with your agreement. We may follow up with you afterwards.

We share patient information with a requesting physician or organisation only as needed to report a sleep study and deliver the results. We do not give identifiable clinical information to an employer or other organisation in any other way.

Who handles your information

  • Our staff: the sleep physician and designated employees.
  • Google: Calendar, the booking page and video consultations.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): messaging, if you use WhatsApp.
  • Hostinger: website hosting, content delivery and email.
  • The testing-device supplier: the cloud platform for home sleep testing, described above.
  • Independent referral providers: described above, only with your agreement.
  • Where the law requires: we may disclose information to the extent required by law.

We do not sell personal information. Some of these providers may process information outside Nigeria.

What the website records

This website does not use cookies or browser storage for tracking, and has no third-party analytics, advertising pixels or social widgets. If that changes, we will update this page first. Our hosting and content-delivery provider processes technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver the site and keep it secure. To protect the forms from misuse we limit how often they can be submitted; this uses your IP address in a protected form for a short time, after which it is deleted automatically. Our diagnostic logs contain only technical stage names and timings, not names, messages or contact details.

Our other website

This notice applies to this website only. Our separate website where equipment is sold is operated separately and has its own terms and privacy practices.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email admin@sleepaerocare.ng; our Data Protection Officer handles your request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and some clinical records may have to be kept where the law requires. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Keeping information

We keep enquiry and clinical information for as long as we need it for the purposes described here or as the law requires. Email admin@sleepaerocare.ng if you want to know what we hold or would like something deleted.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No online system is completely secure, so please keep detailed medical information for your consultation.

Children

Our services are currently for adults aged 18 and over, and the online sleep assessment is for adults. If you are concerned about a child’s sleep, please speak to the child’s doctor.

Links to other websites

This website links to services run by other companies, such as Google, WhatsApp and social media. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date it was last updated.
